Projects close
to our hearts
Every year we sponsor numerous projects with a focus on education and social aspects. In 2023, we were able to help with around 100,000 Euro as well as the full commitment of all our XITASOnians. This applies mainly in and around Augsburg and will be gradually expanded to our other locations.
Suggestions are very welcome!
Our support is not static, rather it is reviewed every year. This is how the support of the VDI-GaraGe in Leipzig in 2023 was added. Whoever has a project close to their heart which fits into our social and educational categories is very welcome to contact the GFC community.
Our focus:
Education
For several years we have been supporting the ‘Jugend forscht’ regional competition in Augsburg. A great project to support children and young people in their passions and talents.
Through many years of close cooperation with the IHK Schwaben, the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, we support the initiative on the subject of school partnerships. We primarily contribute professionally to get young people excited about IT and technology.
The nationwide German scholarships, half of which is financed by the government and the other half by private industries, supports brilliant performing students. We are already involved in seven XITASO locations.
Social
The need on our doorstep concerns all and everyone of us. For this reason, we have been supporting the Augsburger Allgemeine and Allgäuer Zeitung’s (regional newspapers) ‘Kartei der Not’ initiative, for the past ten years. This helps people who have slipped into difficult life situation through no fault of their own and are dependent on help.
The fire brigade experience world in the Martinipark (Augsburg) is a non-profit organization with firefighting fervor. It is all about raising the consciousness of young and old for the topic of fire protection and firefighting. We are delighted to help.
Helping children to trust in their own strengths is the purpose of the Empowerland initiative. In holiday camps children are encouraged to confidently master today’s small and large challenges.
