The youth are researching.
And we are supporting them!

Along with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, we have been the sponsoring company of the ‘Jugend forscht’ youth science regional competition in Augsburg, since 2022. A real affair of the heart that inspires both the kids and us.

Are mushrooms the building material of the future? How efficiently do UV protection clothing protect against the sun’s rays? Are higher CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere a problem for shipping traffic? How can train delays be predicted with AI and Big Data? At XITASO, we are always inspired by the topics that children and youth deal with at Jugend forscht. 62 young researchers went to the starting blocks in 2023 for Augsburg. And we were right in the middle. A wonderful project, which we are happy to support every year, to enable children and youth to pursue their passions and use their talents.

To be a sponsor is a genuine responsibility.

As the official sponsoring partner of Jugend forscht (Augsburg), we oversee the entire organization and financing of the contest. We take care of the location and exhibition stands, look after the accommodation and catering for the participants and members of the jury, organize the award ceremony and the social program as well as the press and publicity work. Working with such an amount of young people is a real delight. At least that is the opinion of Lisa from XITASO, Event Manager of the Jugend forscht regional competition in Augsburg: ‘XITASO has organized the regional Jugend forscht contest in 2023 for the second time. It is always incredible to see the enthusiasm, creativity, and spirit of invention the participants put into their projects. At the same time, we make very interesting contacts. For example, this year’s regional winner in computer science developed an exciting AI project, which he also presented to our XITASOnians at an internal Tech Talk.‘

And the winner is...

This year, regional victories were achieved in 6 of the 7 subject areas. Theo Döllmann was ahead in the field of Mathematics/IT with his train time prediction project. He was then able to impress in the Bavarian state contest and even compete in the national final.
