What is Future Fit Office?
And why are we doing it?

Flexible, location-independent remote work is the new normal in the post corona era. While in the past, each team member came into the office every day, now a lot of workplaces are unoccupied on a daily basis and entire team spaces are deserted. XITASOnians, who come into the offices can feel a bit lonely and even ‘lost in space’, so to speak. On the other hand, we continue to perceive, more than ever, the strong desire for personal encounter. To strengthen this social aspect, for example with team-events or community workshops, we require spatial support in all our locations, which extends way beyond the mere provision of desks. The aim of Future Fit Office is to balance both the desire to work from home as well as the desire for personal encounters and thereby to design and use our valuable office space in the best possible way.

Focus on: desk sharing and alternative work possibilities.

In its purest form, ‘desk sharing’ means nobody has their own desk as a set workplace, anymore. Instead, every desk including a unified fit-out, is in principle free to access for any XITASOnian. But there is so much more involved: instead of a fixed desk there is a large selection of alternative options which can be used flexibly depending on personal preferences, tasks, and activities. This can be a workshop-space with sofa and a bar table or a calm space for deep-work- phases or confidential conversations.

Be happier and even more efficient with sharing.

The Future Fit Office taskforce had a close look at existing projects, that showed flexible working environments meet individual requirements of employees and create space for new ways of cooperation and productivity, simultaneously. The desks themselves are all equipped alike. And one’s personal belongings? In the ‘House of Communication’ in Munich, everyone has a stylish bag for personal belongings like laptop, headset, and family photos. With this you have everything at side during the day and store it in your own locker at night. So, nothing is lost.
